Add a bit of colour with Murano glass beads
Dress up this summer in colorful swirls, dots, zigzags, and flower designs. Each piece is unique and handmade. Murano glass is the longest of the center for glass production in history, from the 9th century to today. Murano is located on a small island in the town northwest of Venice, Italy - little more than a few square kilometers. For beads to be murano glass, they have to be made on this island, and although many companies may use this term, in fact, the beads are not murano it is more of a description.
It is believed that the origins of Murano Glass dates back to the ninth century Rome, with significant Asian and Muslim influences, as Venice was a major commercial port. Colored beads were used in trade with Asia, Africa and Muslims. The first known historical document describes Domenico, a master of glass blowing, which has created bottles. Other documents describe as rare Pietro Fiolario working glass in 1083 and Giovanni Fiolario as a master glass blower making bottles in 1158.
Today murano continues to make it high quality glass renouned in the whole world. You can choose glass beads for your pandora style bracelet to add a bit of colour this coming summer. The best stycle involve having one set colour match for each bracelet. You can have different patturns of the same colour for an interesting effect or the same beads throughout. Just a few different colours of beads you can change it depending on which outfit you will wear, keeping the silver or gold beads the same.
When you are looking for which murano beads to but for your bracelet make sure you look to the size. Some beads can be chunky and if this is not inkeeping with your bracelet can look out of place. Some cheaper beads may have 2 cores, not jointed in the middle. This is OK if you are looking to save on budget, but do not pay more than you should for these type of beads.
There are also many types of beads on the market that are stamped 925 silver but actually are fake and not silver at all. It is hard to discover which beads are real but a good indicator is to look at the company selling them, also to look at the price of the beads. Generally, I would advise to steer clear of too cheap beads as generally, you get what you pay for.
When used right the murano glass beads can add a bit of colour and elegance to your bracelet and are an easy way to change the look and feel, to match it with more outfits.
